Lucas Meeting with Potential Star Wars Writers
Report says Lucas is in Los Angeles this week to firm up staff for live-action series.
October 15, 2007 - Entertainment Weekly says that multiple sources have confirmed to them that George Lucas is coming to Los Angeles this week to meet with potential writers for the upcoming live-action Star Wars TV series. EW says they’ve been told by an agent familiar with the situation that Lucas’ plan is to hire “writers of real significance”, who would meet with him at Skywalker Ranch in November to brainstorm story ideas for the show. They’ve also been told that Lucas may hire writers from other countries. The plan is that these writers would then write individual episodes of the initial 13 installments Lucas is producing and financing himself.
